The Board of Youth and Children’s Ministry of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, in partnership with Union Theological College, Belfast offers a Certificate in Youth Ministry. This course is tailor-made to meet the needs of church-based youth leaders. The course will address issues that will assist those involved in Youth Fellowship, Youth Club and Bible Class or any other church based youth ministry. The course is an ideal context for networking with others in youth ministry, while being resourced and envisioned, trained and refreshed.

The course will be held at two venues - Union Theological College on Monday evenings and 1st Coleraine on Thursday evenings, incorporating a teaching programme of 16 weeks (10 weeks from September to early December, 6 weeks from February to early-March). There is a weekly class-time commitment of 2 hours (7-9 pm) and a required weekend residential in January.

A team of experienced lecturers will deliver this highly practical course which will lead to the award of a Certificate in Youth Ministry. In addition to attending the weekly lectures the certificate will be awarded to those who successfully complete the coursework assignments. There are no academic entrance requirements, however, it is expected that candidates will be engaged in church-based youth ministry.
