» Kenda Creasy Dean

 

Kenda and her family live on the campus of Princeton Theological Seminary, where she serves as Associate Professor of Youth, Church and Culture and Director of the Tennent School of Christian Education. A United Methodist pastor, she was the founding director of the Princeton Theological Seminary Institute for Youth Ministry.

Kenda is the author of numerous books and articles on young people and the church, including Numb and Numb-er: Youth and the Church of Benign Whatever-ism (Oxford, forthcoming), Practicing Passion: Youth and the Quest for a Passionate Church (Eerdmans), The Godbearing Life: The Art of Soul-Tending in Youth Ministry (Upper Room, with Ron Foster), Starting Right: Thinking Theologically About Youth Ministry (Youth Specialties Academic, with Chap Clark and Dave Rahn). She and her husband Kevin are the parents of Brendan and Shannon.

» Marv Penner

Marv has been involved in front-line youth ministry for over 30 years. He travels extensively with Youth Specialties, Understanding Your Teenager and directs The Centre for Adolescent Research. Currently he teaches Youth and Family Ministry at Briercrest College and Seminary, Canada. His education includes an M.A. in Marriage and Family Counselling (Grace Seminary, IN) and a doctorate from Oxford Graduate School. His latest book is ‘Help, My Kids are Hurting’ (Zondervan). His current writing project is on helping kids who cut. Marv is married to Lois and they have three grown children.
