Keep it in the Family - Rooting our Ministry in Family Context.

Was held on Wednesday 18th January 2012 in Assembly Buildings. Our speaker was Mark De Vries.

Asked the question how do we support families?  How can we find time to get to know the parents of our kids? How do we help children and young people to feel a vital part of the whole church?

If you are a minister, youth worker, children's worker, family worker, deaconess, elder, deacon, sunday school co-ordinator or youth leader... you are maybe already asking questions about how you can more effectively engage with parents and families and see children and young people at the heart of the church family.

Mark DeVries brought his huge expereince to help us consider practical ways to engage with children and young people in their nuclear family and church family contexts.  There was also an opportunity to hear about some examples of family work in local churches and to see some resources you might find helpful in your ministry.
