The first Conference will take place at the All Hallows College, Drumcondra, Dublin 9 on Saturday 14th November 2009, and the second Conference at Orangefield Presbyerian on Saturday 28 November 2009.
We are delighted that Kathryn Copsey is our keynote speaker for Building Blocks in 2009. Kathryn has her roots in East London where she 'cut her teeth' in inner city children's work. A trained community worker, she founded and is Project Leader for CURBS (Children in URBan Situations) which provides resources and training for urban children's workers. Her particular areas of interest are children's spirituality and developmental issues and she has written From the Ground Up (BRF) which explores the spiritual world of the child. This is an opportunity NOT to be missed! Please encourage all who have a passion for or even interest in children’s ministry to attend. Sunday School teachers, children’s church leaders, kid’s club leaders – all will benefit from these well run and inspirational conferences.

She is a busy mum of three children and volunteers in the local Parish where her husband works full time.

We will look at themes for your teaching and various ideas for exploring the Bible, craft, games, drama, song and prayer which may be adapted to suit any session. Lynn Storey has a background in Primary School Teaching and has experience as a Sunday Club leader in her local Church of Ireland Parish.
Away in a Muddle Involving children in church at Christmas can be a challenge, even with all the resources that are out there. This workshop will look at how to adapt ideas, old and new, to help your children’s group worship with the angels, be it 5 or 50! Kathryn Storrs Draper is a musician, married to a clergyman, with two teenage daughters. For the past 25 years she has been involved with children in Holiday clubs, Church, Sunday school, choirs & nativity plays.
Puppet Basics Have you ever wondered how puppets can be used in ministry? Then come along to our taster session in basic puppet skills and discover how you can do puppet ministry on a shoe string!
