Volunteers & Interns Programme

Learning while Serving

Closing Date for all applications is 30 April 2014

- VIP is the Board of Youth & Children’s Ministry’s gap year programme.

- VIP is for 18-25 year-olds from within the Presbyterian Church.

1. To help local congregations/ministry projects in their work within PCI and their outreach to the local community, with an emphasis on youth and children’s work.

2. To encourage the growth and development of all young adults involved in the programme with discipleship training and opportunities for service.

VIP members work within a congregation or ministry project for 10-12 months. The role that they play is seen as invaluable in supporting a programme of ministry throughout the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. VIP members can make a valuable contribution to the work as they bring their youthful freshness and enthusiasm to the year. All involved will gain new experiences of the wider church and opportunities to learn new skills and develop existing skills. Training appropriate for the work is provided, along with support and supervision at an individual and group level.
