Your Aim

To make an impact for Jesus Christ through your closeness to the Lord and the clear way you display the Gospel.

Your Opportunities

  • To learn from the word of God.
  • To recieve practical training in Christian service.
  • To enjoy close fellowship with others who love the Lord.
  • To share unhurried times of prayer with others.
  • To be God's fellow workers in reaching the lost.
  • To prove the faithfulness of God's promises.
  • To grow in your relationship with God.

Few of the Christians in your home congregation might ever have the opportunities for growing closer to God that an outreach team will provide.  These opportunities should not be wasted or taken for granted.  Make sure you make the most of them! To take full advantage of them take note of the responsibilities that accompany them and make these a matter of prayer and action as you prepare for the summer.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

TO THE LORD

“God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing.  We’re Christ’s representatives.”

2 Corinthians 5 v 20 THE MESSAGE

TO THE LEADER

“Be responsive to your pastoral leaders. Listen to their counsel.

They are alert to the condition of your lives and work under the strict supervision of God.

Contribute to the joy of their leadership, not its drudgery.

Why would you want to make things harder for them?”

Hebrews 13 v 17 THE MESSAGE

TO YOUR TEAM

“God does care when you use your freedom carelessly in a way that leads a Christian …. to be thrown off track.”

1 Corinthians 8 v 9 THE MESSAGE

TO YOUR HOSTS

“This is how everyone will recognise that you are my disciples – when they see the love you have for each other.”

John 13 v 35 THE MESSAGE

TO YOUR WORK

“Make the most of every opportunity. Be gracious in your speech.

The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them off.”

Ephesians 4 v 15 THE MESSAGE

TO YOURSELF

“Concentrate on doing your best for God, work you won’t be ashamed of, laying out the truth plain and simple.”

2 Timothy 2 v 15 THE MESSAGE

TO THE CHURCH

“Get the word out. Teach all these things. And don’t let anyone put you down because you’re young.

Teach believers with your life: by word, by demeanour, by love, by faith, by integrity.”

1 Timothy 4 v 11-12 THE MESSAGE
