The Concorde fund grant contributed to the total fundraising required for a team from First Bangor Presbyterian to visit Telkibanya Reformed congregation in North Eastern Hungary. A team of 12 went out to do a Holiday Bible Club with the children and young people and teach some English. This visit built on a link with Telkibanya established in the previous eighteen months and was a first for both First Bangor and Telkibanya.

The experience gained by our young people was invaluable and the church in Hungary which is a very small rural congregation in a particularly poor area of Hungary was greatly encouraged by our visit. The links between our two congregations have been considerably strengthened as a result and we see ourselves as partners of the church in this place.
