Put the big things in first

  • relationship with God
  • space to prepare
  • time for people
  • personal needs
  • time off & holidays

Guard your gauges

  • Spiritual
  • Physical: days / time off / exercise / eating right
  • Social: family / friends
  • Emotional: fun!
  • Intellectual: reading, stretching

Be accountable

  • articles: spiritual attacks on leaders
  • not just for “moral” issues but in how you use your time, and in your approach
  • sample accountability questions

Value your most important tools:

  • an organiser (diary, palm, outlook, mobile)
  • your contract (see later)
  • your management (also later – don’t let the congregation, yp, leaders etc manage u!)
  • good friends (spouse, etc)
  • the word “NO”!

Develop systems & habits)
