Stand By Me 2011-2012

The YAC Project for 2011-2012 has now be released to churches! Please contact your Sunday School Superintendent or Youth Leader who have each been sent a copy of the pack for use in your congregation. If you have not received a pack please contact the YAC Office and we will arrange for you to be sent one.

The Youth and Children’s Project for 2011/2012 is very different from any project we have undertaken before. This year we have decided to build upon exciting partnerships between our Board and Stand By Me (Kids Alive International). Many of the young people who have attended the MAD Weekend over the last two years will be familiar with the work in Ethiopia and have enjoyed helping to raise funds for a young girl named Martha who is featured in the project this year. The project will also be helping to raise funds in two other locations.

In Peru we are delighted to be able to support our former colleague Emma (nee Maxwell) and her husband Fredi Rivero as they work for Kids Alive International with disadvantaged children in the jungle near Pulcallpa.

Closer to home we will be partnering with PW and Friendship House to support the crucial work they are doing with children and their families in this challenging part of Belfast.
