| "More than 180 real-life case studies to get your students talking ... and thinking!" |
This is one of my resources that I go to again and again when planning studies and meetings for young teens, older teens and even "tweenagers" (7-11 year olds). The 185 case studies are organised into 12 categories including family, school, sex/dating, real life and more. They are also indexed into over 250 topics to help find exactly what you're looking for or create a series of discussions.
Each case study includes a story for young people to identify with and think their way into, followed by discussion questions, Bible readings and a couple more questions - very similar to the format of the "Life Guides" in the Youth Bible.
This is a great resource which is useful in all sorts of groups and organisations. However like most American resources some of the stories may need re-worded to be more understandable to your young people, then again a lot of TV, music and film comes from America and so young people are used to the terms and ideas used. My only other criticism is that sometimes discussion questions aren't in a logical order and may need restructured to make discussion progress easily, but what's great about the discussion section is that you can add more questions to deepen discussion or remove some to make it easier for the "tweenagers" to get into.
A great resource, I highly recommend it!
