There are countless voices that clamour to be heard in our world. Many call us to go with the flow, to satisfy our own needs and desires. Amid this noise there is a still small voice that speaks life. Jesus calls us to swim against the flow, in a narrow channel that brings Life; Life in all its fullness. This is an exciting opportunity offered by the Board of Youth and Children's Ministry. For the past 5 years this scheme has been supplying congregations with full-time volunteers with a remit to minister to its young people and children in a real and relevant way. Through this scheme we are seeking young committed Christians both from Ireland and Overseas who have a hunger and passion for youth and children's ministry and the development of young people and children.

The team will embark on a year of training and work in two PCI congregations with one overseas placement. As part of the team you will have a wonderful opportunity for personal faith development, to learn about the church in a wider context, to learn and grow from team life, to meet lots of new people, to develop your skills and gifting and most of all to learn to depend on God. Accommodation will be provided bythe congregation and all other expenses will be covered by the Board. The Board will also provide training and pastoral support for the team throughout the year.

This is a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, to explore and deepen ministry skills and to build personal skills and character. The leader will have the opportunity to deliver some of the discipleship programme with the support from others. This is a wonderful opportunity to help others to grow and develop in their spiritual lives as you serve alongside one another.
