An exciting four year post with our City-Centre Congregation of 500 families JOB PURPOSE: To Co-ordinate First Lisburn’s Youth Ministry and undertake the duties of a youth worker, including outreach, taking the major responsibility for Pastoral care and Discipling of our young people thus helping them to grow in their Faith and find their active place in full membership of the Congregation and the wider Church. To liaise with, encourage, lead and, where appropriate, train our volunteer Youth Leaders. THE APPLICANT SHOULD: -Be a committed Christian who is in sympathy with the beliefs, aims and practices of the Presbyterian Church In Ireland. - Be educated to degree level -Have relevant experience in paid employment in a youth related setting e.g. youth work or teaching. -Demonstrate reasonable experience of involvement in youth work in a church setting. -Be willing to become a worshipping, communicant member of First Lisburn Presbyterian Church HOURS: 40/week
